Kathleen Booth

Kathleen Booth invented the first assembly language, and helped develop the first Automatic Relay Computer. She taught some of the first computer science classes at a university, wrote “Programming for an Automatic Digital Computer” (one of the first programming books), and wrote a program that translated French into English.
